The Midnight Witness – Sara Blaedel

A young woman is found strangled in the park and a make journalist has been killed in the backyard of the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. When Lousie rick is assigned for this homicide case her best friend Camilla Lind is the journalist covering the story. Along with Camila covering the story Lousie realizes that her best friend is entangled in the case as she knows the murdered man. Camilla wanting to get more information on the case not knowing she is involved goes too far.

The story was relatively okay for me. I enjoyed reading the novel. I liked how Camilla is involved in the case and not just a journalist. There were few surprises towards the end of the book. I accidentally read Call Me Princess which should have been read after this, but I am glad as I liked this book more than the second one. It felt like watching a crime episode which is so long. Overall, it was a good novel.
